We are very aware that there are many places for you to make your purchase, however we do hope you make your final choice with us. We are clipper specialists, and have built up our business and reputation by giving personal service, good advice and fair pricing.

We also have a comprehensive clipper blade sharpening and machine repair and servicing section at our workshop, and this is how our business started back in 1993.  Clipper blade sharpening is a very skilled and precise job.  We have several machines here to sharpen the different types of clipper and trimmer blades.  We use a lapping machine for most of the larger blades as this gives a perfect matched pair of blades.  The smaller pet blades are sharpened on a different machine and are re-calibrated when they are assembled.
We supply many brands of horse clippers and trimmers including Lister, Wolseley, Hauptner,  Heiniger and Moser. We also carry a wide range of dog clippers including Oster, Andis, Aesculap and Wahl which can be used by the professional groomer and home owner/groomer.  These are also widely used by vets.

For sheep shearing we favour Lister and Heiniger clippers and keep in stock all the appropriate sheep combs and cutters. For cattle clipping we offer heavy duty clippers made by the British company Lister Shearing but also recommend Wolseley and Hauptner as alternative brands of heavy duty clippers.

Lister clippers are a particularly good buy at the moment, with prices being extremely competitive. The Lister Star is a very reliable medium duty clipper with easy to tension blades.  The Lister Legend is the new heavy duty model in their range.  Designed for clipping a larger number of animals, it is still easy to hold and comparatively light in weight for a machine with such power.  The Lister Liberty, an all time favourite within the horse world, is probably the most versatile of all the horse clippers.  It can be powered off a small clip on battery, or used off the mains, using a mains conversion kit, or from a 12V car battery, using vehicle leads. 

We now have three Lister trimmers within our horse trimmer range.  They have been designed to make trimming the fiddly and sensitive areas quicker and easier.  The Lister Pico is the smallest of the trimmers and can be fitted in the palm of the hand.  It has a very small blade and is really best for whiskers and around the chin area.  The Lister Meteor is an old favourite and has a snap on blade.  This is a very quiet and efficient trimmer and comfortable to hold.  The Lister Legato is the largest of the trimmers, and has a blade adjustment lever on the side of the machine.  This enables the user to adjust the clipping length to blend in with the rest of the body when clipping the head area.
For the 2009/2010 clipping season, Lister have also brought out the Lister Libretto.  This machine would be classed as light duty, but can be used for trimming or part/full body clips if the coat was not too coarse and thick.  It operates from a 12V battery pack giving 4 hours work time or can also be powered from a mains adaptor or 12V vehicle leads.
The Lister Libretto like the Lister Liberty is a really versatile clipper/trimmer and takes snap on Lister blades, enabling a wider blade (No 10W) to be used for larger areas and a narrower blade (No 10) which it comes with, for the more fiddly areas.
Also new for this season is the Heiniger Saphir. ,This brand new clipper is primarily aimed at the showing, veterinary, dog grooming market. It takes all snap-on blades like Oster, Andis and Wahl. Supplied with 2 batteries, each battery will clip for 45-60 minutes and recharges in 30 - 40 minutes. In field trials with this clipper, operators have said that this is the most powerful clipper of it’s type. It is top quality as you would expect from Heiniger.

We have also added a fantastic range of horse grooming brushes, which are made in Sweden by a company called Borstiq Farm.  These Borstiq brushes are made from mostly natural fibre and have been ergonomically designed for ease of handling.  The Borstiq banana brushes and Borstiq mini broom brushes come in soft finishing, medium and coarse and are ideal for both stable and field kept horses.  For the full range refer to the Borstiq Brushes page.

Point Two Air Jackets

Point Two Air jackets combine the latest airbag technology within a stylish and comfortable jacket.  Why compromise safety when riding? This air jacket will reduce the risk of serious injury, give peace of mind, and ensure the rider feels as confident as possible at all times.

The Point Two air jackets are the only fully CE certified air jackets available and are also the fastest air bag jacket in the world. The jacket reaches full inflation in 0.1 seconds offering fantastic protection to the collar of the neck, spine, coccyx and rib cage.

Point Two Air Jackets.  As well as the obvious protection from shock absorption, the jacket distributes pressure and above all, effectively supports the spinal column so that the neck and trunk have limited movement.

For your protection, a simple ?click? is all it takes to connect you to the saddle. If you are unseated or thrown from a horse the airbag system is designed to be effective in 0.1 seconds.

The Point Two air jacket now inflates in 0.1 of a second.

The Lanyard of the Point two air jacket connects with the nylon stirrup straps at the front of the saddle. When the rider is mounted the lanyard clips directly onto the D ring of the saddle attachment. The D ring should lay on top of the pommel.

The Lanyard enables full movement in all directions for the rider. The airbag will only be activated if the rider is separated from the horse. The airbag jacket will then inflate within 0.1 seconds, protecting the all important areas of the body, the collar of the neck, ribs and coccyx.

The new system means that your Point Two air jacket will be fully inflated after activation in 0.1 of a second, so should inflation begin from as little as 25cm from the ground your Point Two Air Jacket will be inflated before you impact the ground. The jacket is completely reusable by replacing the CO2 gas cartridge. The highly resistant polyester fabric on the Point Two air Jacket can be brushed or sponged down to remove stains.
